These terms apply when you use HeyGlobo (the website, the installable app and any app-store version), run by HeyGlobo ("we"). By using it you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
The service
HeyGlobo is free and has no ads. It offers a currency converter, a world clock with a meeting planner and a flight log with statistics. You can use every tool without an account. An optional account adds backup and sync between your devices. We may add, change or remove features over time, and will give reasonable notice before removing accounts or synced data.
Information is for guidance only
- Exchange rates come from public reference rates, are updated periodically and may be out of date, especially offline. They are not the rates a bank, card issuer or exchange office will give you. Don't rely on them for financial or trading decisions.
- Times and time zones come from your device's time zone data, which can lag behind changes that governments make at short notice.
- Flight information is what you enter or import. Distances, durations and statistics are estimates. Always check times and details with your airline.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if lower).
- Keep access to your email or Google account secure; anyone who controls it can sign in.
- You can delete your account at any time on the Account screen. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or threatens the service, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Your content
The data you enter (lists, flights, notes) belongs to you. You give us only the permission we need to store, sync and show it back to you. How we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service. In particular, don't:
- break the law or anyone's rights while using it;
- try to access other people's accounts or data, or probe or bypass our security;
- overload the service, including automated scraping of our API beyond normal use of the app;
- use it to store content that is unlawful.
Our content
The app's design, code, name and logo belong to us or our licensors. Map shapes are based on public-domain Natural Earth data. You may use the app for your own personal or business travel, but not copy or resell it.
No warranty
The service is provided free, "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will always be available, error-free or accurate. We try hard to keep your data safe, but please keep your own copies of anything important.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by relying on exchange rates, times or flight information shown in the app (for example a missed flight or a currency loss). Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.
Your rights as a consumer
If you use HeyGlobo as a consumer, you keep all rights that the consumer protection laws of the country where you live give you and that cannot be waived by contract. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. We will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. If you don't accept a change, you can stop using the app and delete your account.
Governing law
If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in the courts there.
